Tiong Bahru market has just been recently renovated with a new outlook on the second level. It is quite a walking distance from Tiong Bahru MRT but it would be worth the walk for the good food there.

One glance at this whole new market, you will be amazed by the no of stalls available. There are so many of them that you can only maybe make up your mind after two rounds of walk around this food centre, especially fickle minded indecisive people like us.

We opt for the long queue lor mee, hokkien mee & fried oyster. The lor mee was generous with portion for just $3. And in it were fried shark's meat. Very cripsy & tasty. You can also add lots of garlic, chilli & vinegar by yourself. As for the prawn mee, nothing special so we have no idea why people are queuing for it. The same goes for the fried oysters. Eggs too little, too much tapioca starch, lousy chilli to compliment the dish.

Of coz when you come here, don't miss out the Tiong Bahru Pau "Lo Mai Kai". The best Lo Mai Kai ever. Soft, juicy & easy to chew & digest. But of coz, portion not very big.

We will definitely be back here a few more times to try out the different stalls.
