Five Star's Famous Kampong Chicken Rice

This kampong chicken rice should be the rivalry of the famous Boon Tong Kee. You will always see the 2 eatery outlets situated side by side or very near one another. And this kampong chicken don't lose out in terms of biz as it is always crowded too.

I find the prices they offered on the menu is cheaper than BTK, but of coz don't expect their place to be nicely set up like BTK. It is actually quite rundown.

Since this is famous for chicken rice, the have to order item would be the kampong chicken. Kampong chicken are leaner & more yellowish in color, coz chickens in kampong have hard life, ha.

I have eaten here a few times and tried a few of their side dishes, decently good. In terms of chicken wise, I find it smooth, tender and not much fats which is a good thing. Rice is fragrant. In terms of chilli, maybe they should work on it.

Though this eatery do not have a strong branding, it would still deserves good credit for the good food.
