New York New York
City Link Mall
Beside HMV

New York New York, what a nice name......remains me of Sex & The City, the glamourous lifestyle with Sarah Jessica Parker's endless shopping spree.
But this New York place is definitely not related to that adult theme show. This place is all about food. And it drew endless queue of people willing to hop a seat inside, irregardless of the age group. But somehow the food don't seem to link very much to New York City due to the small portions.
The whole place is very brightly renovated with lots of cheerful vivid colors, dim lightings, comfortable huge sofas & creatively designed seating booth. Just the ambience of this place would make you come back for more as you can just unknowingly chit chat for a few hours, very relaxing.
They have lots of service staffs cater to the heavy crowds, but it still don't seem to ratio very well. They can't seem to cope with overflowing requests, and often mixed up or miss out your orders. And don't put high expectation on the food, as it is not very well done. The bruschetta is not very crispy and the tomato dices taste weird. Hawaiian pizza is accompanied by very sour pineapple, the creamy pasta is a bit on the dry side. Our super long waited waffle is very hard and dry, so turned off.
Therefore, if you are expecting good food here, drop that idea. But if you are looking for a place to wind down or a simple gathering, this would be a good choice if you are willing to queue.
