Jia Xiang Sarawak Kuching Kolo Mee

271 New Bridge Road
Alight At Outram Park MRT

June 13, 2006

Being so lost on where to have our dinner, we have decided to stroll along chinatown area. Since we are already at outram mrt station, we thought of alighting here and walked over to chinatown instead.

In less than 10 mins, a few steps from outram, we are seated at this eatery even before reaching chinatown. Somehow the cut-out news clips thrilled our curiousity and decided to give it a try. Anyway, we have no idea what kolo mee is though Jing has been to kuching before.

We were served by waitress wearing xiao er dressing. Varieties are limited. We ordered their famous kolo mee, a fish soup recommended by the waitress and 1 luo han guo recommended by her as well.

Food portion served are pathetic. The kolo mee can be finished by 2 to 3 mouthfuls. And for a $6 fish soup, i hardly can find any fish slices in there, and it don't taste good at well, so much so for the recommendation. Even the packet luo han guo taste so sweet. Think only their kolo mee is reasonably edible. Dry with sesame oil fragrant, just like home cooked maggi mee.
