This restaurant was set up like one to two years ago. From the exterior view of this eatery, it looks expensive. But nevertheless, me & meow thought of stepping in to try something new. And guess what, it didn't disappoint us which makes me head back a second time. Our first visit was on Sep 16, 2005 while second visit was on Nov 18, 2005....and we would still wanna go back there if we have enough $$$.......:)

The menu looks pretty similar to crystal jade, that's why they are competitors. In terms of layout, it is very classy zen looking with all the dark woods design and dim lightings. Good ambience and excellent attentive service. You would be served with a mini cup of strongly brewed tea once you are seated.

We sat twice at the same booth but different orders. I didn't manage to take pics of my first orders as busy eating. If i did not rem wrongly, we actually ordered Sweet & Sour Pork, Claypot Salted Fish with Chicken Dice and a Cabbage wrapped with Meat. For my second visit with Meow, we ordered Ee Fu Mee, Veg with 3 kind of eggs & their recommended Pork Ribs.

Their Sweet & Sour Pork was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, Claypot dish was one of my fav, very addictive as it goes well with rice, Cabbage dish was plain & boring, Ee Fu Mee was one of the best we have tasted so far, Veg with 3 eggs is acceptable tasty, and lastly their Pork Ribs is a must try as it is really tender. And of coz, all their portions are huge.

Final Verdict: We would definitely prefer Imperial over Crystal Jade, no matter in terms of food, service & ambience.
