中秋节 (Mooncakes!!!)
Raffles The Plaza
Consistent good quality mooncakes every year. Crispy outer layer with smooth lotus paste that don't taste too sweet nor too oily. They also have unique mooncakes selection such as the champagne truffles collection which are always in high demand.
Tung Lok
This is our first time trying out Tung Lok's mooncake, and was surprised by the superb mooncake they produced. Though it is a bit on the sweeter side, it was so soft and smooth that it melts in your mouth. And even if you are not a mooncake lover, you would love their box designs, classic.
Häagen-Dazs
As a Häagen-Daz fan for their ice-cream selections, you would not be disappointed with their usual ice-cream mooncake. Dark hard coated chocolate surrounding different flavours of ice cream which is a good combination. Do try out their new flavour Azuki Bean as it is realli realli nice. But of coz, their mooncakes don't come cheap. One pc already cost you $18.00.
Blue Magnolia
Unique box that serves very sweet normal lotus mooncake. Not fascinated by it unless you want to keep the box for collection.
Double York Red Lotus Paste. Boring packaging, dry crumpy oily mooncakes.
Marriott Hotel
Marriott Hotel is always one of the top choice when it comes to purchasing mooncakes, as they offers the best Durian Mooncake in SG. I personally prefer theirs than Goodwood as it is softer. You can taste strips of durian with their soft snow skin, yummy. A must buy item. Even their traditional lotus mooncake is good.
帝王
Can't comment on this as didn't try it. But they ought to improve on their box designs.
大中国
Big China mooncakes has very thick and nice outer layer. But the lotus paste inside is so normal tasting which makes the combination so blend.
Royal China @ Raffles Hotel
My first time trying out mooncakes from Royal China. Was so glad with their quality of food. Think this is the softest fragile mooncake ever. It breaks easily therefore easily to be digested. So soft that it melts in your mouth. And of coz, it is not too sweet, a good choice.
Mixtures of Mooncakes in Tung Lok Box
Can you guess where are the 4 mooncakes from?? Look hard at the labels
