It is the mooncake festival today. We have actually thought of dropping over to Ember Restaurant for dinner. But to our dismay, their reservation list is all filled up. So no choice, we had to make a move.
Kinda lost our way and ended up walking aimlessly on the streets for 2hrs. In the end, thought of heading towards Holland Village for a nice dinner.
We drop by at this Hog's Breath Cafe, hoping for some nice relaxing great dinner as we were so wore out. That place was very comfortably designed with ranch lookalike concept. Young friendly staffs with cheerful faces. As this place was famous for their beef steaks items, and we can't eat beef, we only ordered their other dishes.
Never knowing their portions were that huge, we blindly ordered 3 plates of different items without warnings from their service staffs. Perhaps, it would be nice for them to let us know that the portions were huge and we might not finished it. And indeed, we wasted quite a lot of food.
Their crispy chicken salad were giantic and the salad sauce BBQ Ranch & Hog's Ranch that goes with it is not nice. The salad also don't have the taste for crisp freshness. And worse of all, the cripsy chicken which comes in this dish is so hard & dry, you don't even feel like having a second bite.
Their finger food combination was as disappointing. Just by looking at the pictures, you can see how unappetizing they are. Meow likes the potato skin with bacon, but oink finds it really dry & tasteless. They have the worst buffalo wings and calamari, weird unhealthy dark colors. And needless to say, their so call fantastic cripsy chicken taste like dry corpse, so dry and hard that you had to press your fork hard onto it, worst of the worst. Failure.
Their hawaiian chicken breast burger is also disappointing. Their burger bread is so normal, not even had a taste of cripsy toast. Chicken breast is so dry and don't like the sauce that goes with it.
No wonder they says they serves the best steak or prime ribs, as they just don't cut out for other dishes. We felt like eating overnights leftover. As we can't eat beef, this rating would only be based on the food we ordered. As they might really served very top notch beef.
Rating: 1/10
(not based on beef)
Okay, now let's take a look at those inedilble hard corpse shown below.
Don't they just look dry and hard like a wrapped up decades mummy?
